Subject: Living in a perpetual carbon monoxide fog today

Hi Rick,
How are you? It's been about 6 weeks since you spoke in front of the City Council regarding the outdoor wood boiler in our neighborhood. We were hoping someone may have talked to the owner by now, but the burns seem to have increased, and so have the length of the burns.
Today, 11/10/08 we took the day off to finish up some tree trimming and yard work. The boiler started a large emission at noon. The wind died down about mid-afternoon. By 5pm, when the photo below was taken, we and many of our neighbors were covered in a carbon monoxide fog. The smoke continued coming out full power until dark, and beyond. We took our dogs out for a walk at 8pm and the boiler was still emitting at high volume. We just got back in from a brief walk at 11pm and the air is virtually unbreathable. It literally is making me queasy.
PLEASE tell us someone is going to talk to this guy soon. It is really difficult to breathe, and after 11 hours sitting in the smoke just today, we feel trapped in our own house. This is simply out of hand and beyond any common sense or reason. We feel absolutely helpless.
Sincerely,
